Phil Foden Says ‘England Is Scared’ Of Their Next Game

According to Phil Foden, the level of intensity in training has increased as England looks to improve their physical readiness ahead of their Tuesday match against Slovenia.

After England’s dismal 1-1 draw with Denmark, Gareth Southgate expressed worries about the team’s pressing intensity but Foden has been heartened by the team’s preparations for their final Group C game.

The attacker for Manchester City stated, “I feel like the intensity has gone up a little bit.”

“We expect more from ourselves, but we’re off to a terrific start. We’re on four points.

I see the characters around me and we always hold ourselves to higher standards. Prior to this game, training has increased.

England is very almost through to the round of 16 and if they defeat Slovenia, they would take first place in Group C, reports Yahoo Sports

Despite criticism for their performances against Denmark and Serbia, Foden feels confident in the team’s abilities.

He stated on the Lions Den podcast, “The standard is so high.” I’ve never seen an England squad as technically proficient as this one.

Training with the top players every week is where you want to be since it’s at such a high level. I’m just glad to be here and will do all in my power to support the team.

Foden was urged by John Stones to go back to his best for England. According to the City defender, “I think Phil loves playing through the middle,” TalkSport said.

He has represented us at City at every position up top. It’s a challenging one, and I’m relieved that I’m not in charge to decide.

Phil is a fantastic player who excels everywhere he plays. It goes without saying that each person excels in a different capacity.

Since that’s when Phil is at his best, all I want is for him to love playing football.

If he continues to put in the effort in training and score the goals he does, it will ultimately show on the field.
