Chelsea, Liverpool And Man United Interested In Nigeria International

Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman.

A report from the Spanish publication Fichajes as cited by Hard Tackle suggests that Lookman may make a summer transfer back to the Premier League. United, Liverpool, and Chelsea are eager to sign the Atalanta attacker.

The Serie A side would request almost €60 million in order to let go of the Nigeria international.

Lookman, 26, who moved from RB Leipzig to Atalanta in August 2022, has established a solid foundation in his career. Born in London, he attended Charlton Athletic’s youth division before joining Everton in January 2017. But for the player, the next five years were a frustrating time.

In March 2022, the former England youth international made the decision to represent Nigeria internationally, which precipitated a turn-around in his club career.

With a game-winning hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final, Lookman made his breakthrough in the 2023–24 season. Over the past two years, he has advanced significantly.

In 45 appearances for Atalanta in all competitions during the 2023–24 season, the 26-year-old contributed 27 goals, assisted 10, and found the back of the net 17 times.

Meanwhile, Lookman’s development at the Serie A team has not gone unnoticed, drawing interest from prominent Premier League clubs.

After failing to make an impact at Everton and Leicester City, it will be intriguing to watch if Lookman rejoins the Premier League.

In the summer transfer window, Chelsea, Liverpool, and United will try to get the €60 million-rated Atalanta star.
