Real Madrid have reportedly responded very positively to Liverpool’s interest in recruiting Arda Guler. But, any deal to bring the standout Euro 2024 talent to Anfield is reportedly contingent upon the fulfillment of a significant caveat.
With Jurgen Klopp departing the Merseyside club and Arne Slot taking over, there would be some new signings at the club.
Even so, work is already being done to determine how Liverpool can close the gap on Mancehster City and build on the solid foundations Klopp laid, with Slot comfortably settled in his new office within the gates of their cutting-edge Kirkby training site.
Naturally, new management bring new ideas, and according to TEAMtalk, Slot intends to make at least two, if not as many as five, fascinating new signings this summer with the money at his disposal.
Guler’s name has been heavily linked to a move to Anfield. As it is anticipated that the teenager will struggle to get game time for Real Madrid in the 2024–2025 season.
When the 19-year-old made his debut in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad last season, he demonstrated his abilities by scoring six goals in 12 games.
The addition of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick in the squad will further limit the opportunities of Guler. Therefore, Ancelotti could sanction his move to Liverpool.
Bringing Guler to Anfield won’t be as easy as it first appeared, though, as Real have decided to add a condition to any transfer of Guler.

First, at the demand of both coach Ancelotti and president Florentino Perez, Los Blancos will insist that any deal be on loan only, initially lasting until the January window.
If things go according to plan, though, an extension through the conclusion of the season may be considered.
