France manager Didier Deschamps bitterly criticized Lamine Yamal’s amazing goal as “very lucky” after Spain advanced to the Euro 2024 final.
Dani Olmo delivered the game-winning strike to put Spain through after Randal Kolo Muani took France an early lead. Yamal then tied the score from a distance.
The best of the lot was Yamal’s goal, a near-perfect effort from way outside the box that found the top corner for the adolescent midfielder. The ball struck the inside of the post and bounced into the back of the net, beyond the reach of France goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
Deschamps gave respect to Yamal after the final whistle, saying that although it was a beautiful piece of talent, it was ‘very lucky’.

“His shot was magnificent,” the head of France said. Although he was really fortunate, we shouldn’t discount him.

Luis de la Fuente, the manager of Spain, expressed his happiness with Yamal’s effort at his news conference after the game, comparing it to witnessing a genius at work, reports Express
