Xabi Alonso Considers Loan Move For Real Madrid Arda Guler To Bayer Leverkusen

Sports Mole claims that Leverkusen manager Alonso is eager to sign the highly regarded Arda Guler this summer.

AC Milan, who showed interest in the Turkish star in January, may present fierce competition for Guler’s signing, putting Bundesliga winners Leverkusen in a difficult position.

Although Ancelotti has already stated that he intends to keep the attacker, it is speculated that Real Madrid may be persuaded to loan out Guler for the upcoming campaign.

Regarding Guler, Ancelotti stated to reporters in April that “there is no doubt that Arda will stay here next year and that he will be a very important player for us in the future.”

“As he grows older, he will gradually understand his place on the squad. More goals have been scored by him. That is his talent.”

Just a year ago, Real Madrid spent over €20 million to get Guler, who signed a long-term deal that would keep him there until the summer of 2029.

After moving from Fenerbahce to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer, the 19-year-old had a difficult 2023–24 season due to injuries and fierce competition from more experienced players for starting roles.

After that, Guler was limited to just 12 first-team appearances in all competitions, five of which were starts.

Nevertheless, the adaptable attacker was able to display flashes of brilliance when wearing the renowned Real Madrid white shirt.

In fact, Guler netted five goals in Los Blancos’ final six top-flight games of the season, including a brace in an exciting 4–4 draw with Villarreal in May. Guler scored six goals in 10 La Liga games.
