Chelsea Willing To Sell Player Linked With West Ham, Palace For £30/35M

Chelsea are reportedly keen to sell Trevor Chalobah for a fee of around £35 million this summer transfer window.

Chalobah formerly spent time with Huddersfield Town on loan in the 2019/20 season where he made 39 appearances and had two-goal involvements.

Before being accepted into the Stamford Bridge team, he had a brief stint with French team Lorient. The 25-year-old’s future is now uncertain despite the fact that he played frequently last season when fit.

He was cut from Chelsea’s preseason tour of the United States. Other players in the heart of defence were picked instead. Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, claims that the Blues are prepared to let go of the defender.

According to Yorkshire Post, the club would let Chalobah leave for the right fee likely in the region of £30/35 million since they feel they have enough depth at center defense and right back. He has been linked to teams including Fulham, Crystal Palace, and West Ham United.

Addressing the decision to omit Chalobah from the America tour, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said: “First of all, from my point of view, it’s always sad to leave players out, that can be out of a pre-season. Or can be out of the squad or out of the first eleven because in the end they all work for the same target, that is to be part of the same team.

“The Trevoh situation for me is quite clear, we have Axel [Disasi] there, we have Tosin [Adarabioyo] there, we have Wes [Fofana] who in these two weeks has worked very good and is finally back.

“We have some very young profiles like Josh Acheampong who is doing fantastic. It’s a sad decision but we have to take the decision.”
