Despite having fitness concerns over the last four and a half years, the 26-year-old has continued to grow at RB Leipzig. Olmo has played approximately 150 games for RB Leipzig, scoring 29 goals and providing 34 assists. The player was great during UEFA Euro 2024, helping Spain win the trophy.

In addition, the Spanish international won one accolade for himself, the Golden Boot, sharing the trophy with five other players. Meanwhile, Dani Olmo’s achievements for his club and country have piqued the interest of numerous high-profile clubs throughout Europe. He might return to Barcelona.

Barcelona  interested

Barcelona’s interest in Dani Olmo is understandable. The Catalan giants are eager to enhance their creative alternatives before the summer transfer window closes, with Ilkay Gundogan nearing the end of his illustrious career. As a result, the versatile Olmo has emerged as a potential target for Barcelona.

According to recent sources, the 26-year-old Spaniard wants to rejoin Barcelona, and personal terms are not an issue for either party. However, convincing RB Leipzig to trade Olmo at their desired price is a challenge for the Blaugrana, given his release clause expired earlier this month.

Nonetheless, the Catalan giants are contemplating a second bid to sign Dani Olmo in the final month of the summer transfer season. It would be fascinating to observe if the latest offer does the trick and convinces RB Leipzig to sell the Spanish international to Barcelona.
