Tottenham Receives Pedro Neto Transfer Green Light as Ange Postecoglou’s Priority Made Clear

Wolves manager Gary O’Neil has confirmed that Tottenham transfer target Pedro Neto is free to leave the club if a big offer arises. Spurs are just one Premier League club that has been heavily associated with Neto, with Arsenal and Liverpool also long-time fans.

The 24-year-old has shown flashes of his undoubted talent in recent years, but he has frequently been sidelined by ailments. Neto missed 18 games last season due to two separate hamstring injuries, but he still scored 14 goals.

Wolves’ financial troubles make an exit for Neto possible, but Max Kilman’s £40 million move to West Ham has alleviated those fears. With that in mind, O’Neil has made a lengthy concession about Neto where he does not rule out a transfer exit.

“I know how good he is, and I know how well he would do at a big club,” he explained on the E&S podcast. “Obviously, I want our team here to be incredibly successful. So I hope he remains.

“I believe so (there is a chance he stays). Nobody is doing anything right now. He’s in a terrific situation; I’ve spoken with him about how we’re going to play, how it suits him, and how important he’ll be in it. But, of course, we are all adults while you are having these chats. If a major club makes a massive bid, no one will stop Pedro.

“I am convinced he will be here. Because we haven’t had anything, the club believes he will not be. Of sure, a lot of business can be completed late.”
