Leipzig Lay Out Olmo’s Demands To Barcelona

RB Leipzig have reportedly laid out some demands to Barcelona before letting Dani Olmo leave the club.

The Catalan Club are seriously interested in the 26-year-old and ready to make a move for him this summer, alongside Athletic Bilbao winger, Nico Williams.

It won’t be straightforward for the Laliga giants to get these two players, though, even with their full attention. The most recent information on Nico’s transfer paints a fairly bleak picture for Barcelona’s chances of getting him.

However, rumors have it that the Blaugranes are getting closer to landing Olmo. It is also evident that Barca will need to forgo a sizeable portion of their budget in order to acquire him.

This is undoubtedly the case, according to a report from SPORT as cited by Barca News Network, which states that Leipzig are willing to let the explosive forward go but would not give the Catalan side any kind of reductions or payment plans.

The Germans are demanding that Barcelona pay Olmo’s full market value. And the Blaugrana outfit are currently falling short of their requests.

There hasn’t been much movement in the forward negotiations between Leipzig and Barcelona over the past few weeks. Leipzig have been fully focused on extending Xavi Simons’s loan for an additional season, which has contributed to some of this.

Barcelona recently had the Spanish forward’s initial bid of €60 million, including bonuses and installments, rejected. Olmo is said to be determined to move to Spain. But Leipzig will not permit him to do so for less than his market value.
