Liverpool Reject Transfer Bids For Fabio Cavalho

Liverpool has turned down a proposal for striker Fabio Carvalho from Southampton that was reportedly worth over £15 million.

The Reds have valued the 21-year-old at much less than the offer but they have the power to thwart any transfer after he made an impression on new manager Arne Slot on the preseason tour of the United States.

He has scored in victories over Manchester United and Arsenal and the formation switch under Slot may provide him a larger role at the team.

Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo are among the first-team players who have yet to play after extended breaks following the Copa America and Euro 2024.

Carvalho, who enjoyed loan spells at RB Leipzig and Hull City last season, has seized his opportunity to impress the new coaching staff.

It is anticipated that Southampton will return with an increased offer as they get ready for life back in the Premier League, reports Independent.

Although they haven’t added any new players this summer, Goal reports that Liverpool is heavily considering a transfer for 19-year-old left-back Julio Soler from the Argentine team Lanus.

The young player, who made an impression for Argentina in the Olympics in Paris, is reportedly available for $15 million (£11.8 million).

He made 36 appearances for the Argentine team in the last campaign, and many consider him to be Andy Robertson’s long-term replacement.
