Liverpool Finally Set To Make First Signing As ‘Transfer Target Identified’

Liverpool are reportedly ready to sign a player after months of searching as they remain the only club yet to sign a player across Europe’s top five leagues this summer.

After the 2023–24 season ended, the Reds made Arne Slot a head coach following Jurgen Klopp’s departure. The Dutchman has been waiting for his entire team to return from international duty. Several Reds players competed in the later rounds of the Copa America and the European Championships.

Joel Matip and Thiago are two of the senior players who have left Anfield. Due to injuries, neither of the duo played in the later stages of the previous campaign.

Slot has stated that his team won’t enter the transfer window until they find the ideal player to bolster the team in a crucial position. However, it seems that they have now accomplished that.

The Athletic reports that Liverpool want to sign a specialist number six before the transfer market closes at the end of August. The player in question is believed to be based outside of the Premier League, even if their name has not been disclosed.

Since bringing in Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis Mac Allister last summer, Liverpool have experimented with a variety of midfield lineups.

This summer, Endo has drawn interest, but Liverpool have rejected offers thus far while they comb the market.
