Jorge Mendes has traveled to England to hold negotiations with Manchester United on the signing of Manuel Ugarte, according to Fabrizio Romano.
In an attempt to expand his options in the midfield ahead of the upcoming campaign, Erik Ten Hag and the Red Devils have been in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain during the summer regarding a transfer for the Uruguay international.
Due to a disagreement over the player’s worth, a deal between the two clubs fell through but Mendes has now flown to the UK for negotiations in an attempt to close a deal for his client.

The Uruguayan star is the top target for the Reds as they look to bolster their midfield but despite interest from other teams, Paris Saint-Germain is holding to a £51 million value.
Because United is unwilling to spend so much, the transaction has stalled, with INEOS executives choosing to look at other midfield possibilities instead, such as Youssouf Fofana and Sander Berge.
Super agent Mendes is reportedly trying to end the impasse between the two sides and has flown to England to negotiate a contract with Man United, according to Romano on his personal X account.
Ugarte has already agreed to personal terms ahead of a departure from Paris Saint-Germain and the club anticipates that he will move before the conclusion of the window, reports GiveMeSport.
