Olmo Eager To Make Barcelona Debut Amid Registration Issues

Olmo Eager To Make Barcelona Debut Amid Registration Issues

Dani Olmo is reportedly ‘impatient’ to make his Barcelona bow despite the club having issues in registering him.

The most noticeable omission for Barcelona in their 2-1 victory over Valencia in their La Liga opener on Saturday was Olmo.

The 26-year-old summer transfer from RB Leipzig had to be left out of the starting lineup because he is not yet registered in La Liga. Despite this, manager Hansi Flick maintained that the Spaniard is still far from ready to play because he hasn’t trained much with the team.

According to SPORT as reported by Barca Universal, Olmo has been working harder during training sessions and is ‘impatient’ to play his first minutes as a Barcelona player.

The UEFA Euro 2024 winner has stepped up his rigorous training schedule. So his physical state shouldn’t be a barrier to playing in the Blaugrana’s upcoming match at Montjuic on Saturday against Athletic Club.

It is believed that Olmo is practicing regularly with his teammates and is not experiencing any sort of discomfort.

Olmo trained with the squad all week following his presentation in Montjuic on Monday. However, on Friday, he was informed that his registration was still not possible.

The player continued to concentrate on being in better physical shape after learning that it was not feasible for him to travel to Valencia with the rest of the team.

Barça, on the other hand, continue to search for procedures to free up payroll space.
