Chelsea May Offer A Swap Deal For Jadon Sancho Following Man United Exit

Chelsea may provide Jadon Sancho with a last-minute escape from Manchester United through a Raheem Sterling trade.

Sancho, a former star of Borussia Dortmund, doesn’t seem to have a future at Old Trafford. He returned to Germany last season after a very public falling out with Erik ten Hag.

Even though Sancho is back in the mix, it was shocking that he wasn’t included in the Red Devils’ squad for their late 2-1 loss to Brighton.

Juventus has been linked to the winger but it looks like he now has a chance to stay in the Premier League.

Chelsea is investigating the possibility of making a trade in order to sign Sancho. The Blues are working to lower the cost of a swoop but the specifics of any transfer to Stamford Bridge are yet unknown.

In order for Chelsea to be able to pursue Sancho, they will need to let go of at least six players during the last week of the transfer season, reports Mirror

Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling are two candidates to go and if Chelsea moved for Sancho, they may be included in a trade.

Both players have slipped in the Stamford Bridge hierarchy and new manager Enzo Maresca has essentially informed them it would be best to leave the team. The Italian stated in a statement last week: “I strive to be honest.

“If it’s unclear, let me reiterate: Raheem is not in the squad because, in our conversation prior to the City game, I mentioned that he will find it difficult to play meaningful minutes for us.
