Player Undergoing Medical Ahead Of Arsenal Move

Neto is reportedly undergoing medical ahead of his season-long loan deal to Arsenal from Bournemouth.

Aaron Ramsdale, an Arsenal backup goalkeeper, has agreed to be sold to Southampton. Neto, who has been a consistent presence in goal for Bournemouth over the last two seasons, fits the criteria as their replacement.

Joan Garcia, a Spanish international, has been linked to the Gunners in recent weeks. But after Espanyol rejected two of their bids, they were obliged to consider other options.

This morning, The Athletic as claimed by Football Talks, following an agreement between Arsenal and Bournemouth to take the South American on loan for the remainder of the season, Neto has travelled to North London for a medical.

According to the BBC, Neto is now going through his medical evaluation before joining Arsenal. The exercise is anticipated to be finished on the day of the deadline which is today.

To be eligible for Arsenal’s Premier League match against Brighton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon, the 6ft 2in goalie must be registered by noon.

At 35 years old, Neto has played in more than 300 league games in Europe and South America, giving him a plethora of experience.

Since moving to Bournemouth from Barcelona in 2022, he has been the team’s unchallenged goalie, and he is accustomed to the tempo and intensity of the Premier League.
