‘Ten Hag Has Our Full Backing’ – Man United CEO

Manchester United CEO, Omar Berrada has reportedly confirmed that the whole leadership team of the club are in full support of Erik ten Hag.

United extended Ten Hag’s contract by one year in the summer.

Even though INEOS Director of Sport Sir Dave Brailsford and United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe had sounded out several potential candidates, including Thomas Tuchel and Roberto De Zerbi, it was nonetheless done.

After it was decided to give Ten Hag a new contract, Dan Ashworth, the sporting director, and Berrada began their new positions.

According to ESPN, speaking prior to Sunday’s 3-0 loss to Liverpool, Berrada nevertheless maintained that the Dutchman has the full backing of the club’s executives.

“We’re very happy with that decision [to give Ten Hag a new contract],” Berrada said.

“Erik has our full backing and we have worked very closely together in this transfer window. We’re going to continue working very closely with him to help him get the best results out of the team.

“Do we still believe in Erik? Absolutely. We think Erik is the right coach for us and we’re fully backing him.”
