Barcelona starlet, Lamine Yamal has reportedly received a lot of praise from Real Madrid defender, Dani Carvajal claiming that he is already in the ‘elite’ category of players.
Yamal’s popularity has increased dramatically throughout the last year or two.
From being a La Masia youth prospect to becoming one of the best young wingers in the league. The 17-year-old sensation has transformed his game, contributing to both Barcelona and the Spanish national team on the pitch.
Yamal was one of Spain’s best players during their victory at UEFA Euro 2024 this past summer, winning the title of Best Young Player of the Tournament.
During the Euros, Carvajal and Lamine Yamal formed a strong partnership for the Spain side.
La Roja will play two UEFA Nations League matches during the current international break, and the two are expected to pick up where they left off.
According to Barca Universal, prior to the upcoming games, Carvajal lauded Yamal in an interview with The Athletic, calling what the youngster is accomplishing given his age “incredible.”

“It seems incredible at Yamal’s age (he turned 17 in July) that he is already in the elite, at a club like Barcelona and with the national team,” said Carvajal of the Barcelona teenager.
“He has adapted very well to the group. He is still a kid (laughs), so you have to keep your feet on the ground — but he’s a great kid,” the Real Madrid defender added.
