Klopp Aims ‘Useless’ Dig At Man United Following Sancho Exit To Chelsea

Jurgen Klopp has reportedly expressed his dissatisfaction on how Manchester United handled Jadon Sancho situation highlighting the idea that a manager should encourage his players instead of writing them off as “useless”.

Before the summer, there was much discussion over the forward’s future. During his loan season at Borussia Dortmund last season, the German team advanced to the Champions League final, while the forward found his form again.

This comeback came after Sancho publicly disagreed with United manager Erik ten Hag last year, voicing his annoyance at being left out of a matchday team.

Ten Hag isolated him for a while as a result, but this summer he was allowed to rejoin the first team.

But it looks that his time at Old Trafford was cut short by a late transfer to Chelsea. The Blues agreed to take the player, who is valued at £72 million, after he moved to the capital on loan.

His underwhelming time in Manchester has thus come to an end. But according to Manchester Evening News, Klopp believes that greater support was warranted prior to his transfer.

The former Liverpool manager remarked before the transfer deadline: “If the whole world loses trust and faith in the player, the manager has to be the one behind the player.

“I cannot just buy into that ‘he’s useless,’ like other clubs did by the way – buying a player for £80 million and then sending him out on loan! “.
