Interim England head coach Lee Carsley has reportedly implored Arsenal defender, Ben White to return back to the national team.
Although White has four caps for the Three Lions, he has stated that he is not currently interested in getting more. After departing the England team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for personal reasons, he informed Gareth Southgate in March that he did not want to be considered for Euro 2024.

The 26-year-old was left out of Carsley’s team for the Nations League games against Finland and the Republic of Ireland.
However, according to The Mirror, the 50-year-old hinted that might alter in the future after Harry Kane’s brace helped England defeat Finland 2-0 at Wembley.

Asked whether that could involve White, Carsley replied: “I’ve not planned to

“Every player that’s eligible to play for England is in with a chance. As far as I was aware, he was asked to be not contacted. So, if that changes, then that’ll change.”
Next, Carsley was asked if it was White’s responsibility to make contact. He said: “Yeah, I think it is important that we’ve got real competition all over the pitch and the more players we’ve got available to pick from, the better it is.”
