Ronald Araujo Returns To Barcelona ‘Not Fully Recovered’ From Injury

Ronald Araujo has returned to Barcelona in an effort to hurry up his rehabilitation from his injury.

Since suffering a hamstring injury while representing Uruguay in the Copa America, the center defender has not been available for duty.

After that, Araujo had to have surgery and he won’t be able to play again until the end of the year.

The Uruguayan international has also shared a picture of himself working out on social media, sporting his No. 4 on the side of a pair of Barcelona shorts.

Araujo posted a collection of images along with a motivational statement that said, “Your advantage is that there is no one like you,” at the conclusion.

Barcelona has suffered with the loss of Araujo, as they have also had to deal with the injury that has kept Andreas Christensen out for several months.

As a result, Hansi Flick has chosen Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez as his center backs and the team has had an outstanding start to the season, reports Barca Blaugranes

After originally being assigned to the reserves in Segunda División B, Araújo signed a five-year deal with FC Barcelona for a cost of €1.7 million, plus €3.5 million in variables.
