Man United Receive Positive Injury Boost With Midfielder Set For Return

Manchester United have reportedly received a timely injury update on Mason Mount as the midfielder has returned to full training ahead of schedule.

Since suffering an injury during United’s August loss to Brighton in the first half, Mount has not played for the team. The club verified that it was “a minor injury setback due to keep him out of action for a few games” after the game.

According to Manchester Evening News as claimed by Goal, Mount has resumed full training ahead of plan, giving rise to expectations that he may be ready for selection by the end of the month.

United are relieved by this development because the midfield player is expected to play a key part in Erik Ten Hag’s reorganized pressing system.

Ten Hag expressed optimism on Mount’s recuperation during a press conference held in advance of the Red Devils’ Carabao Cup encounter against Barnsley.

The Dutchman stated that the player is “progressing” in his recovery. Mount, who joined from Chelsea in the 2023 summer, has not yet reached his best level and only played in 14 Premier League games in 2023–24 because of a recurring calf problem.

The England international suffered a serious setback when he sustained a hamstring injury. Despite being able to start United’s opening two games of the new season. He will be anxious to return to the starting lineup and have a bigger effect.
