Man United Receive Double Injury Boost Ahead Of Crystal Palace Clash

Manchester United duo, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund are reportedly back to full training ahead of the Red Devils match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Hojlund hasn’t played since he injured his hamstring 15 minutes into United’s pre-season USA tour’s opening match, and Mount picked up a minor problem during last month’s away loss to Brighton.

When he meets with the media on Thursday afternoon, Erik ten Hag will discuss the team’s fitness level. However, Danish attacker Hojlund has already advised fans to be patient while he recovers from his most recent injury.

According to Manchester World, the 21-year-old expressed his happiness to be back on the training field in an Instagram post on Wednesday night. But he also managed to lower expectations ahead of his possible return this weekend.

“I guess being a football player the caption should be ‘happy to be on the pitch again’, but I think the photo says it all,” he wrote in the caption of a picture of he and Mount.

Alejandro Garnacho said in a single word, “Finally,” to which Hojlund answered, “Don’t jinx it,” considering that he still has some ways to go before he’s ready to play.

This weekend’s trip to Selhurst Park is expected to see United start Marcus Rashford from the start, as Ten Hag is expected to be wary about pushing injured players back too soon in front of a packed schedule of games.
