Slot Issues Concerning Injury Update For Liverpool’s Next Two Matches

Liverpool Manager, Arne Slot has issued a worrying concern about some of his players when addressing the press ahead of the Reds third round Carabao Cup tie against West Ham United.

The Reds won the competition last season, which was former manager Jurgen Klopp’s final piece of silverware with the club.

They will begin their trophy defence with a difficult match against Premier League side West Ham, who are currently trying to find form under new manager Julen Lopetegui.

Liverpool triumphed comfortably 3-0 against Bournemouth over the weekend, with goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher replacing the injured Alisson Becker.

The Brazilian goalkeeper had a muscular injury and was ruled out of the encounter against the Cherries. But the Reds still kept a clean sheet courtesy to Kelleher.

Slot has now offered an update on Alisson’s injury, confirming that Kelleher will start in the Carabao Cup while also stating that Alisson is doubtful for the Premier League match against Wolves.

According to Metro as cited by Caught Offside, Slot stated during his pre-match press conference: “It’s sure that Caoimhin will be in goal tomorrow.

“Alisson is getting there but I think this game is coming just a bit too early.

“We are looking at the weekend against Wolves but it’s going to be tight so let’s see if he manages to be there, but he will not be there tomorrow. Caoimhin will be in goal tomorrow. That’s the one thing I know for sure at this moment.”
