Injured Barcelona Player Set For Return Before The End Of Season

Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc- Andre Ter Stegen is reportedly set to make his return from injury in April or May.

The Catalan club have suffered a major setback as a result of the German goalkeeper’s most recent injury. Following a knee injury the shot-stopper sustained during a match against Villarreal, a surgery was successfully performed and the player will start rehabilitation.

The club declared that everything had gone well after the treatment, but they also said that Ter Stegen’s recuperation would determine when he might return to the field.

The 32-year-old has a difficult journey ahead of him given the current circumstances. His recuperation will be a drawn-out and difficult procedure, particularly in the initial days following surgery.

According to SPORT, as reported by Barca Universal, Ter Stegen’s aim is to return before the season ends, possibly in April or May. However, this is an optimistic schedule that depends on how well his body heals over the next few weeks.

Head coach Hansi Flick is obviously devastated by the injury because he depends so much on ter Stegen’s special skill set. The goalie is an integral part of the team’s entire plan, not merely the last line of defense.

Ter Stegen is rumored to be a keeper that Flick appreciates since he can also play as a sweeper. This means that he is constantly in the game and helps with both attacking and defensive moves.

Barcelona need to be ready to play without Ter Stegen for a substantial chunk of the remaining season, even though they are still hoping for a swift recovery.
