Szczesny Expected To Be Ready For Barcelona Against Sevilla

Barcelona imminent signing, Wojciech Szczesny is reportedly set to be ready ahead of the club’s Laliga clash against Sevilla on October 20.

After learning of Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s season-ending injury over the weekend, the Polish goalie—who had just announced his retirement—made himself readily available and expedited negotiations to reach an agreement.

As things stand, the Catalan club and the Polish shot-stopper have an agreement in place, and he will join the team as soon as possible.

Prior to moving to Barcelona, Szczesny has already resumed training, as disclosed in a recent update from SPORT as reported by Barca Universal. And he is making a lot of effort to get back to full match fitness.

He has greatly increased his physical activity regimen and intends to be in peak physical condition for his medical examination on Monday.

The player will go to Barcelona on Sunday or Monday after finishing his training in Marbella. He will then continue his quest to regain his fitness while being supervised by Julio Tous and Hansi Flick.

If all goes according to plan, the Laliga giants hope to get the former Arsenal star in time for their match against Sevilla on October 20, which is scheduled right after the international break. He hasn’t played in months, so it makes sense that he would be rusty.

Now that it is evident that Szczesny would be registered. It is therefore not out of the question that he could possibly start Barcelona’s match against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.

El Clasico is also quickly approaching, so the Catalans will be hoping he can get back to his best form as soon as he can.
