Mikel Arteta’s Former Teammate Tells Him The Truth About His Situation At Arsenal

Louis Saha has cautioned Mikel Arteta that his Arsenal team must start winning significant trophies in order to be acknowledged as one of the great Premier League dynasties.

Almost five years into his rule at the Emirates, Arteta still has only one major trophy to show for his efforts in rebuilding the Gunners: the FA Cup in 2020. Despite successive title near-misses, Saha, who played with Arteta at Everton for three years, warned that “the best managers are addicted to winning trophies.”

The former France striker, who earned 20 international caps in eight years, told cryptocasinosuk.net that Arteta has “taken Arsenal up several levels.”

However, Saha stated, “I wouldn’t say Mikel Arteta was born to be a manager; at least, that wasn’t my opinion when he captained Everton and I played alongside him.

“However, I’m not shocked that he went on to become an excellent manager. He was involved in nearly every detail at Everton. He was quite tactically aware, and he wanted to understand why David Moyes made certain judgments.

“Arteta and Moyes were constantly conversing. You could see he had a football brain. He liked talking about football and was an excellent communicator.

“Even though I played with him and know him well, it’s strange for me to see him as the manager we see every week at Arsenal.” I believe what he has accomplished at Arsenal over the last five years has been outstanding.

“He established a playing style, and he’s improved players. He’s taken the club up several levels. He made some big decisions early.

“I was startled by his harsh approach to the (Pierre-Emerick) Aubameyang problem, and he did the same with (Mesut) Ozil.
