Erik ten Hag has been chastised for not accepting greater responsibility for Manchester United’s problems.
The Dutchman is once again under pressure after a disastrous start to the season, which has left United in 14th place in the Premier League and winless in the Europa League. In light of their abysmal form, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and other United executives met this week to evaluate Ten Hag’s future.

Ratcliffe was spotted at the INEOS offices in London, accompanied by the company’s head of sport, Sir Dave Brailsford, and United sporting director Dan Ashworth. Other guests were co-owner Joel Glazer, chief operating officer Collette Roche, and chief financial officer Roger Bell.
The hard-fought draw at Aston Villa before the international break may have given Ten Hag a little more time, but patience is running out among fans and ex-players, especially Louis Saha.
The former France striker has grown upset with Ten Hag’s communication, saying that winning the League Cup and FA Cup does not compensate for their poor league record. Saha believes Ten Hag should take a more proactive approach and examine his own methods rather than blaming other players or injuries.
“If Manchester United’s momentum continues, Erik ten Hag will struggle to feel supported,” Saha, who scored 42 goals in 120 United games from 2004 to 2008, told Paddy Power.
“He can say all the positive things he likes, as he has the role to do that as the manager and talk about injuries and other topics. But at some point, we’ll need to see something working.”
