Barcelona Star Recovers From Injury, Returns To Full Training

Barcelona midfielder, Fermin Lopez has reportedly returned to full training after recovering from injury.

Fermin first sustained an injury while playing for the Spanish Under-21 national team during the international break last month, and he has been sidelined for almost a month.

After recovering from the injury and getting in shape again, the La Masia graduate was sidelined for three more weeks after experiencing yet another thigh problem on the same day.

According to Barca Universal, Fermin seems to have totally recovered from his problem. He is already working with the rest of the team, which will be very beneficial for Hansi Flick’s side.

After all, Barcelona will need everyone on the pitch for their important games against teams like Sevilla, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid in the space of a week.

Fermin Lopez’s comeback, combined with the impending arrival of Gavi and Olmo, gives Flick a much-needed lift. Especially because Ferran Torres is also out and Lamine Yamal’s fitness is uncertain.

Fermin, who has agreed to a new contract with the club, had not played much under Flick before his injury. He missed the preseason given that he was participating in the Olympics and the Euros.

Now that the 21-year-old’s physical issues have subsided, the talented young attacking midfielder will look to become a mainstay in the squad under the German tactician.
