Man United Keeping Track Of Bayern Duo

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Bayern Munich pair, Leon Goretzka and Leroy Sane ahead of a possible transfer swoop.

United are still in the early phases of a new era. With the appointment of Dan Ashworth as the team’s first sports director, Jason Wilcox as technical director, and important INEOS executives Sir Dave Brailsford and Jean-Claude Blanc to the football club board.

The club were praised for the deals that brought Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich. They moved swiftly in the summer to sign Real Madrid target Leny Yoro. United may yet again, look inward Bayern after acquiring Matthijs de Ligt from them.

According to Sky Sport Germany as reported by 90min, Goretzka and Sane are reportedly being “monitored” in light of contracts that expire in 2026 and 2025, respectively.

It’s “possible” that United will try to sign another defensive midfield player in January, despite spending a lot of money to acquire Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain. Casemiro, who turns 33 in February, is still the subject of transfer speculation.

Goretzka is an “interesting candidate” and might be a good fit. But for the time being, he would rather stay put past the winter. However, that would not necessarily preclude a later summer strategy.

Although Sane is “continuing talks” with Bayern about a new contract, he is currently on track to become a free agent at the end of the season and would be available for a pre-contract starting on January 1.
