Man United Hit With Injury Scare As £42M Star Limps Off

Manchester United have reportedly been handed a major injury scare ahead of their Premier League clash against Brentford on Saturday.

To relieve pressure on his position, Erik ten Hag will expect his team to perform better. But with their most recent injury worry, he may have to pick a makeshift squad.

Before being substituted out of the game in the 82nd minute due to what appeared to be a fitness issue, Manuel Ugarte made an impression for Uruguay during their goalless draw with Ecuador.

In the most recent setback for Ten Hag, according to Manchester World, the 23-year-old was pulled from the action while accompanied by a member of the medical staff.

During his time on the pitch, Ugarte made an impression by recording an 89 percent passing accuracy, making four tackles, two interceptions, one clearance, and one blocked shot.

The £42 million summer acquisition from Paris Saint-Germain is anticipated to return to Manchester on Wednesday, where United medical personnel will evaluate him prior to their matchup this weekend.

Due to Ugarte’s injury concern, United may already be missing up to nine players for the encounter against Brentford.

Mason Mount has missed the last two games. Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo all pulled out of international duty.

Both Harry Maguire and Noussair Mazraoui will be out for a few weeks. While Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw, the defensive pair, are not yet ready for action. Despite his long-term injury, Leny Yoro might return to action next month.
