Arsenal have reportedly open talks about the possibility of signing Aston Villa striker, Jhon Duran in a move to save their season.
In their loss against Bournemouth over the weekend, the north Londoners lacked motivation, with William Saliba sent off in the first half. After the game, manager Mikel Arteta found it difficult to justify his squad, who had virtually little attacking intent over the 90 minutes.
However, with Arsenal pursuing Duran, who has up to 40 teams on his trail, Arteta may be set to resolve a long-standing problem within his team.
In order to help first-choice No. 9 Kai Havertz up front, Arsenal have long been linked to the Colombian striker.
According to Sport Witness as reported by FourFourTwo, Arsenal have “made contact” with Villa’s outstanding player Duran.
With a purple patch that saw him score against Bayern Munich in the Champions League earlier this season, Duran has established himself as Emery’s go-to substitute this season.
Duran has sometimes taken Ollie Watkins’ place in the center-forward lineup instead of Morgan Rogers, who has also been in excellent form this season.

Arsenal’s offer is intriguing because 20-year-old Duran is becoming one of the division’s most impressive young forwards.
The report Also indicated that Havertz is still regarded by Arteta as an attacking midfield player who could support a traditional No. 9.
