Arsenal are reportedly planning a transfer swoop for Barcelona forward, Ferran Torres after learning about their fate regarding Raphinha.
According to TEAMtalk, manager Mikel Arteta is a “huge fan” of the former Manchester City star. And Arsenal are one of several Premier League teams interested in him. Barcelona will “consider offers” for Torres as they seek to raise their transfer funds, even though their financial status has improved recently.
The winger, who can also play as a center-forward, is having trouble maintaining a starting position, and Barca manager Hansi Flick would not stop him from departing.
Torres has made ten appearances for Barcelona this season, four of which lasted less than twenty minutes, and has recorded one goal and two assists.
TBR Football reported that Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also “admirers” of Torres and are “keeping tabs” on his status, therefore Arsenal will have competition for him.

After learning that fellow attacker Raphinha won’t be available next summer, all three English teams have started courting the Spain international.
After an outstanding start to the season, in which he registered nine goals and eight assists in 13 games—including a spectacular hat-trick during Wednesday’s 4-1 Champions League victory against Bayern Munich—the Catalan club have “removed Raphinha from the transfer list.”
