Between 2003 and 2009, the Portuguese striker spent his first six years at Old Trafford.

In the summer of 2021, he briefly rejoined the team. In December 2022, he signed a contract with Al-Nassr that would last until 2025.

Al Hilal plan to replace striker Neymar with Ronaldo if he is released in January after a lengthy absence due to injury.

In August of last year, the Brazilian joined the Saudi Pro League from Paris Saint-Germain in France but he only played five games in his debut season due to an ACL injury.

Although Neymar made a comeback to the field for Al Hilal last month, the report now states that he is out due to a hamstring issue.

Due to his persistent injuries, club authorities are now considering a move, and Neymar may be sold during the next transfer window.

Ronaldo is the ideal candidate to take his position, reports Manchester Evening News.

Ronaldo revealed how close he was to joining Manchester City and working with Pep Guardiola back in 2022, when he was still in his second stint at Old Trafford.

But after speaking with Sir Alex Ferguson, he changed his mind.
