Cole Palmer and Kobbie Mainoo have appeared for the cover of GQ magazine’s Men of the Year issue.
According to the magazine, the edition intends to recognize men who are ‘bending the rules, changing the game, and bringing their slice of the culture to another level’.
Palmer and Mainoo appear after having outstanding seasons at club level and contributing to England’s Euro 2024 final appearance.
The magazine’s December issue featured a joint interview with the headline ‘Kobbie Mainoo & Cole Palmer Are Just Getting Started’.
The magazine named Mainoo and Palmer as two players that ‘grabbed the nation’s attention’ on England’s path to the Euro 2024 final.
Mainoo began the tournament on the bench but worked his way into Gareth Southgate’s starting lineup as the Euros proceeded.
England fans had asked Southgate to use Palmer during the tournament, but the Chelsea star was obliged to serve as an impact replacement.

Palmer came off the bench in the Euro 2024 final and scored England’s equaliser to tie the game at 1-1 with Spain.
Southgate’s side were eventually defeated 2-1 in the final, which was his final match in charge of the national team.
Mainoo and Palmer told GQ that despite playing for rival Premier League clubs, they became great friends during the competition in Germany.
Mainoo had a meteoric ascent last season after breaking into the Manchester United squad under Erik ten Hag.
The midfielder had played 32 games for Manchester United’s first team, culminating in a starring role in their FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.
Palmer had a spectacular impression in his debut season at Chelsea after his summer move from Man City.
