Amorim Identifies Premier League Player As First Transfer Target

Manchester United are set for a new era with Ruben Amorim following his appointment as the head coach of the Red Devils.

The Portuguese coach will finally take charge of his first game when the Red Devils visit Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town on Sunday. The former Sporting Lisbon manager spent the previous week settling into his new club.

Ahead of the game, a lot will change, and everyone will be watching Amorim’s first team selection. In the days ahead, he will undoubtedly be closely monitoring any possible injury issues affecting United’s international players.

The 39-year-old has been touted to make a number of signings when the January transfer window opens.

According to The Mirror, Amorim has identified Bournemouth defender, Milo Kerkez as his first possible signing as United boss.

This season, the 22-year-old Hungary international has been among the Cherries’ most outstanding players. Additionally, other top-flight sides have taken note of the left-back’s ability.

In the January transfer window or the summer of next year, Kerkez, who recorded both assists in Bournemouth’s most recent 2-1 victory over Manchester City, appears to be a target for the Red Devils.

However, Liverpool are said to be a stumbling block in the signing of the youngster for the Red Devils. With the report stating that the Reds are looking for a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, who has not really hit the ground running this season.
