Real Madrid are reportedly set for a transfer battle with Barcelona for Malaga forward, Antonio Cordero.
The two Spanish giants already have similar interests in Alphonso Davies, Jonathan Tah, and Joshua Kimmich going into the next summer transfer window, and their rivalry in the market is expected to rekindle.
Cordero, a Spanish Under-19 international and striker for Malaga, is regarded as one of Spain’s most gifted young strikers and is said to have a bright future.
According to Madrid Universal, last summer, Los Blancos and the Blaugrana both made approaches to the player’s entourage. However, Malaga refused to sell the star, arguing that he was a crucial component of their plans
However, since then, they have realized that the player is unwilling to accept a contract renewal and that, should immediate action not be taken, he would actually go as a free agent in June.
Cordero’s departure in January is therefore open, and it will be intriguing to observe whether the two European powerhouses try to take advantage of the chance to bolster their subsidiary squads.
Following Malaga’s refusal to trade him last summer, Real Madrid appeared to have closed the door on his signing. But, given that he has already scored three goals and supplied three assists in 12 games, the player’s talent has forced the door open again.

Los Blancos will probably want to sign Cordero as soon as possible because they are attracted to players nearing the conclusion of their contracts.
It goes without saying that in order to prevent a direct confrontation with Endrick, Cordero will be signed for the Castilla.
