Henrique Hilario, the goalkeeping coach for Chelsea, has resigned from his position in anticipation of joining Thomas Tuchel’s new England team.
After the previous goalkeeping coach, Martyn Margetson, left with Gareth Southgate.

Tuchel, who worked with the former Blues keeper during his Champions League-winning career at Stamford Bridge, will begin work with the Three Lions on January 1 and wants Hilario on his staff.
After playing for Chelsea for eight years and winning the FA Cup twice, Hilario rejoined Antonio Conte’s backroom staff in 2016.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca stated last month that he would not obstruct the Portuguese player’s desire to accept the position, but he denied that the Football Association had made any official contact to Hilario.
English coach Anthony Barry, a former Chelsea staffer, will be Tuchel’s assistant, reports Standard.
Tuchel has already raided Chelsea once and performance analyst James Melbourne has already departed the team.
With so many goalkeeping experts currently on Maresca’s team, it doesn’t seem probable that the Blues will immediately replace Hilario.
Willy Caballero, a former goalkeeper for Chelsea, Manchester City, and Argentina, serves as Maresca’s assistant, while Michele De Bernardin is also named as a goalkeeping coach.
