With little over five minutes left in Portugal, the Brazilian who scored Arsenal’s third goal was replaced by Jakub Kiwior.
“We had to make the change because he was feeling some discomfort,” Arteta stated after the game as he explained why Gabriel had to be substituted out.
Unfortunately, I was unable to make the substitution for Raz [Raheem Sterling] just as I was about to do so. We needed to remove him.”

Kai Havertz doubled the advantage after Gabriel Martinelli began the scoring. Gabriel completed a fantastic first half in Lisbon with a strong header.

The Gunners’ boss will be hoping for a swift recovery in time for their Saturday evening clash with West Ham.
