Liverpool Boss, Arne Slot has reportedly confirmed that Caoimhin Kelleher would return to bench if Alisson Becker returns to full fitness.
Due to a hamstring injury, Alisson has missed the last ten games and been out for almost two months. Kelleher has filled in and been in outstanding form while the Brazil international has been receiving rehab.
The Irishman made it possible for the Reds to sit atop the Champions League standings and lead the Premier League table by eight points.
Slot praised Kelleher’s incredible save from Kylian Mbappe’s penalty when Liverpool were just one goal ahead in Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Real Madrid as “outstanding.”

According to Liverpool World, the Reds head coach has acknowledged in the past that Alisson will be the starting goalkeeper once he is fit again.
The former AS Roma goalkeeper has returned to slight training as Liverpool prepare to play Manchester City, a major competitor for the Premier League title, on Sunday.
Asked if he has a difficult decision between Alisson and Kelleher, Slot replied: “I think every decision I have to make is a difficult one, because we have so many quality players.
“I’ve been clear about that situation but tonight shouldn’t be about that, it should be about Caoimh being so important for us.
“It was a big moment for him also I think; if you see Mbappe behind the ball, I thought probably what everybody thought – and what everybody also thought when Mo [Salah] stepped up – ‘This ball is probably going to go in’. And he saved it, so it was a big moment for him, a special moment for him.”
