Saka Urged To Quit Arsenal If Arteta Doesn’t Start To Deliver Trophies

Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka has reportedly been tipped to leave the club if Mikel Arteta continues to fail in delivering major honors.

With Arsenal barely missing out on the Premier League title the last two seasons, the winger hasn’t experienced triumph in a major tournament since the FA Cup victory in 2020.

Saka has become one of the Premier League’s best attacking players in recent years. The 23-year-old has made 243 appearances for his childhood club so far, contributing 59 assists and 64 goals.

Saka signed a new deal with the Emirates Stadium in May 2023, extending his stay until the summer of 2027.

But according to Alan Smith, an Arsenal icon, Mikel Arteta must produce results, trophy-wise in order to convince the England international to stay.

According to the Daily Star, while speaking to Mega Dice about Saka, Smith said: “It’s hard to say whether I think he’ll stay at Arsenal for a long time as it always depends on where the club is and if they’re challenging for honours.

He added: “If they are, then a lot of top-class players will feel like there’s no need to move. I think Saka is one of those players, but if there’s a dip in the club’s fortune – you want to be winning trophies – and I’m sure Saka falls into that category.”
