Marc Cucurella Breaks Silence With 12-word Message After Chelsea Red Card vs Brentford

Marc Cucurella has broken his silence after receiving a red card following Chelsea’s victory over Brentford.

The defender received a second yellow card following the Blues’ 2-1 victory over the Bees on Sunday. The Spaniard had previously put his team ahead with a superbly placed header in the first half.

It means the former Brighton & Hove Albion player will miss Chelsea’s next league fixture, which is away to Everton next Sunday. The left-back has been one of Chelsea’s best players this season and will be sorely missed on the left side, with the 2-1 win over Brentford putting the Blues just two points behind leaders Liverpool.

Cucurella took to Instagram after the game and posted a 12-word message. Cucurella posted a picture of himself celebrating his goal and said, “Good win at home to top off the week! “We go again.”

Cucurella’s red card means he will face Fulham in the league on Boxing Day. Maresca was questioned about the sending off after the game, but the Italian did not appear to witness the occurrence.

“When the final whistle blew, I was with the coaching staff, hugging them and celebrating, so I didn’t notice anything. “I don’t know,” Maresca replied.

The Italian adds, “Cucurella was top on and off the ball, and the other ten were fantastic.” We are pleased and satisfied with Marc’s performance tonight.

When asked if Chelsea has a discipline problem, Maresca responded: “No, no. I’ve emphasized many times that we can improve several things, including the way we attack and defend, as well as how we handle certain situations. This is undoubtedly one of the areas where we can improve, but with the team spirit, we understand that you may receive some yellow cards from time to time.
