Bayern Munich star, Jamal Musiala has reportedly revealed his admiration for Barcelona and further stated they were the team he supported during his childhood.
In actuality, he looked up to a number of players as a child, but Lionel Messi was his greatest influence.
“F.C. Barcelona was my favourite team and because of that they were always my reference.”
As a child, Musiala frequently had Messi’s name printed on the back of his football shirts, a testament to his love for the Barcelona star.

“On the back of my shirts as a kid, the name was almost always Messi. I also had one with Neymar, but Messi was my hero, my favourite player,” he admitted as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Given the ambiguity surrounding Musiala’s future at Bayern, this disclosure has drawn attention. The situation is made more intriguing by Barca’s interest in the Germany international.
Musiala has plenty of time until his Bayern deal expires because it lasts until 2026. The Bundesliga giants, though, are eager to steer clear of any possible issues for the upcoming campaign.
According to reports, the German team want to start the renewal process as soon as possible in order to guarantee the player’s future. However, there hasn’t been any notable advancement in these discussions thus far.
