The Premier League has named Simon Hooper to take charge of Saturday’s game at Selhurst Park. This season, he has overseen 13 games in the Premier League, Championship, and League Cup.

Hooper has issued 63 yellow cards this season, including two red cards. He was part in Liverpool’s controversial encounter against Tottenham last season, when a Luis Diaz goal was incorrectly called out for offside. The linesman flagged the Liverpool player, and VAR did not intervene to overturn the verdict due to a communication failure. A PGMOL statement later acknowledged a substantial human error.

The fourth official on Saturday will be Oli Langford, who has officiated in three Championship games this season, the most recent being Derby County’s 4-0 victory over Portsmouth last Friday.
