Only one team was certain to win the match between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. The visitors were able to secure all three points, even though it appeared for a large portion of the match that Barca would win.
In the end, the Catalan club suffered a significant setback as a result of the aforementioned loss.
The outcome was undoubtedly a result of Barça’s poor finishing, as many players performed poorly and even conceded in public that they were aware of their flaws. Some, on the other hand, performed exceedingly well and would feel that their hard work was in vain.
One such player was Pedri, whose dazzling performance nearly concealed the blemishes and fissures in his side.

Gavi, a 20-year-old La Masia graduate whose passion and technical skill were valuable assets to Hansi Flick’s side, was another midfield player who had a fantastic game.
But much more valuable than his skill as a football player is his leadership and courage in verbally resolving issues.
According to SPORT as reported by Barca News Network, one such incident occurred during the match when Gavi reprimanded Robert Lewandowski, a much more experienced player, for not giving it his all.
It was evident prior to the half that Lewandowski’s choice to drop deeper afforded Atletico Madrid—and particularly Clement Lenglet—more room to move the ball forward and cause problems for Barcelona.
Gavi was quick to chastise Lewandowski for his lack of effort and for making it so simple for the opposition players to advance the ball after noticing this really early.
Before the halftime whistle was ultimately blown, the Spain international was apparently concerned about this problem on multiple further occasions.
