Barcelona Hoping For Favourable Court Ruling To Register Attacking Duo

Prior to the 2024–25 season, Barcelona signed two players to their squad, Pau Víctor and Dani Olmo. But because of their financial predicament, the Blaugrana had a lot of trouble getting this pair registered with La Liga, and the only reason they were able to do so was because some of their players were injured.

The Catalan club will need to re-register them with the league authorities in January. However, they have already filed a plea in a Barcelona court to enforce the necessary precautions and be able to register these two players in January because they are finding it more and more difficult to secure the necessary wage space in their wage bill.

The Catalans think the court should permit these players to play as long as the legal issues pertaining to their registrations are settled.

Gavi, who is still playing under a precautionary ruling since the related litigation has not yet been settled, underwent the same process. As of now, the hearing where the case will be decided has not been scheduled.

According to MARCA as reported by Barca News Network, a decision in this case is anticipated on Friday, following which it will be evident whether or not Olmo and Víctor are eligible for registration.

If the decision does not go in their favor, Barcelona will look into alternative ways to achieve this objective and guarantee Hansi Flick has access to these two players for the vital month of January and beyond.
