After Ruben Amorim shut Rashford out, Manchester United is in a frantic search for a new home during the January transfer window.

Rashford has acknowledged that he is prepared for a fresh challenge and has spent this month looking for potential ways out.

After the 27-year-old turned down the chance to relocate to Saudi Arabia or Turkey at this point in his career, Milan has become the most likely choice.

Nevertheless, Rashford’s £325,000 weekly salary at United until June 2028 has made a move challenging.

The Italian powerhouses want to sign him on a one-year loan till the end of the season, but they won’t even cover half of his salary because their top player, Alvaro Morata, only makes £150,000.

However, Milan is still pursuing other projects in the January window that may open the door for his entrance, and they have not given up on talks with United, reports Mirror.

Milan striker Noah Okafor is reportedly heading to Germany on Friday to sign a temporary loan agreement with RB Leipzig, which might turn into a permanent one in the summer for about €25 million (£21 million).

Although he was considered disposable, the Swiss attacker was paid €15.5 million (£13 million) to join Milan from RB Salzburg in the summer of 2023.
