Pep Guardiola believes Kyle Walker can have several more years at the top, but will let him depart Manchester City.
Walker was left out of City’s matchday squad for Saturday’s 8-0 FA Cup victory against League Two Salford, citing a desire to pursue opportunities abroad.
The 34-year-old right-back has been a major member of Guardiola’s all-conquering squad since joining from Tottenham in 2017, helping the club win 17 trophies, including six Premier League crowns and the Champions League. Reported By Independence News.
However, his recent form has been erratic, and his request comes after a stint out of the team, having not played since the derby loss to Manchester United on December 15.

Guardiola would encourage him to regain his best, but he would not stand in his way.
The City manager stated, “He is an incredible player with incredible physicality.” When focused, he is unstoppable as a right back. He’s a top-class player.
“If he is fit he can play one, two, three, four more years as a professional. I have never seen a player with these physical conditions in my career.

He has been linked with AC Milan, but because he is committed until 2026, any transfer would have to be approved by City.
