Arsenal forward, Leandro Trossard says it would be something ‘magical’ to win the UEFA Champions League and reportedly claimed the Gunners have the quality to win the competition.
A victory at Dinamo Zagreb, who are led by Italy icon Fabio Cannavaro, will almost ensure Arsenal’s automatic promotion to the round of 16. Arsenal now sit fifth in the league phase table.
According to TNT Sports as reported by EuroSport, Trossard believes the Gunners are talented enough to win the trophy as he is set to make his 100th appearance for the team on Wednesday night.
“I think as a kid that is what you dream of [winning the Champions League],” he told TNT Sports.
“I think the Champions League is one of the biggest competitions there is, maybe the biggest, and it would be magical to win it.
“It is such a hard competition, but I think and believe that we can do that with this squad and this team.”
Trossard arrived at Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 and said he revelled in playing for the club.
“I am really happy, it is a great moment, and I am happy I am already there [on 100 appearances],” he said.
“It has been so quick. It felt like a magical moment when I signed for Arsenal, making my debut.
“I remember it like it was yesterday, against Manchester United. From then on it has been a great time for me.”
