Ben Chilwell has reportedly agreed a deadline day loan move to Crystal Palace from Chelsea.
This season, the 28-year-old has only played 45 minutes of Carabao Cup action, and Enzo Maresca is eager to focus on other options.
After joining Chelsea from Leicester City in 2020 for roughly £50 million, Chilwell made an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge.
In addition to his defensive responsibilities, he established himself as a mainstay for Gareth Southgate’s England, displaying a remarkable knack for getting forward.

However, a spate of injuries, including multiple severe hamstring pulls and a cruciate ligament tear in his knee, have impacted his career.
Chilwell’s knee problems have also never been completely fixed, and as a result, he has missed more than 100 club and national team games due to injury alone.
According to Sky Sports an agreement has been reached for Chilwell to move to south London, where he will join a Palace team that have been improving this season.
After a sluggish start that made manager Oliver Glasner dread a relegation fight, the Eagles have risen up the Premier League table thanks to some outstanding home and away victories.
After defeating Manchester United 2-0 on Sunday thanks to a brace from Jean-Philippe Mateta, Palace are currently only four points behind rivals Brighton & Hove Albion in the top half of the Premier League standings.
