On the day of the deadline, Graham Potter spotted two newcomers to West Ham, both of whom he knew for different reasons.
Potter was reunited with Evan Ferguson, who had signed on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, and James Ward-Prowse returned early from his loan at Nottingham Forest.

TBR Football is aware that last month, West Ham made an attempt to sign Endrick from Real Madrid.
In January, TBR reported that Real Madrid had been contacted on Endrick’s circumstances and that Premier League teams were interested in the young player.
We now have exclusive confirmation that West Ham was among the teams that contacted the Spanish powerhouses in an attempt to sign the 18-year-old.
The Hammers also contacted Endrick’s agents, but their strategy was unsuccessful, reports TBR Football.
Real Madrid maintained that they had no intention of letting Endrick depart the Santiago Bernabeu.
